Stephanie Ramsay
About ER Audiology
My name is Stephanie, and I am the founder and principal audiologist at ER Audiology. Starting this clinic was the result of both professional experience and personal passion.
For many years, I worked within large international hearing aid chains. While this gave me valuable experience, I also saw a side of the industry that didn’t sit right with me. The emphasis was often on sales and fitting devices, rather than providing a complete audiology service tailored to each individual’s needs. I felt patients deserved more: more time, more care, and more genuine support in managing their hearing health.
That realisation inspired me to establish ER Audiology: an independent clinic where the focus is firmly on people, not products. Here, every appointment is about understanding you, your lifestyle, and your health, so we can find the best solutions together.
A Broader View of Health
Alongside my qualifications in audiology, I also have a background in Nutrition and Public Health. This has shaped the way I practice: I see hearing health as part of the bigger picture of healthy ageing. Good hearing isn’t just about sound, it’s about connection, independence, and maintaining the ability to live well at home and in the community.
By combining my knowledge across these fields, I take a holistic approach to care. I believe supporting hearing health plays a crucial role in reducing social isolation, preventing cognitive decline, and helping people remain active, engaged, and independent for longer.
My Commitment to You
At ER Audiology, you can expect a personalised and transparent experience. Whether you need a hearing assessment, ear wax removal, tinnitus support, or ongoing hearing care, my priority is always your well being. I will take the time to listen, explain your options clearly, and work with you to find the most effective solutions.
Why It Matters to Me
Hearing health is personal for me. I have seen how untreated hearing difficulties can affect confidence, relationships, and independence. I am passionate about ensuring that no one feels isolated or unheard because of their hearing. Outside the clinic, I value time with family, being outdoors, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, all of which remind me daily how important it is to stay connected to the world around us.
I created this clinic to offer something different: a trusted, local service where every decision is guided by care, not sales targets. At ER Audiology, we hear you, and we’re here to help you keep hearing the moments that matter most.
